A Vision for Classical Christian Education in Greenwich
A Letter from Joshua Wilson
I am excited to serve as the founding Head of School of The Geneva School of Greenwich and to bring a Christ-centered, classical education to families in Greenwich and throughout Southwest Connecticut.
Before becoming pastor of Greenwich Baptist Church, I taught humanities for seven years at The Geneva School of Manhattan. I have also taught high school humanities in Toledo, Ohio, and composition and education courses at the University of Toledo and Columbia University. My graduate studies include English Education at the University of Toledo and Columbia University and Hebrew Bible at the University of Michigan.
Our family has experienced firsthand the lasting impact of a classical Christian education. Since enrolling our children at The Geneva School of Manhattan in 2017, we have seen how an education rooted in Scripture, great books, thoughtful discussion, and the pursuit of truth has shaped their minds, strengthened their faith, and formed their character.
That experience is at the heart of why I am so excited to begin The Geneva School of Greenwich. Beginning in Fall 2027, we plan to offer a classical Christian education modeled after The Geneva School of Manhattan—an education that seeks to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning in a joyful, Christ-centered community. I am also grateful for the guidance and partnership of Rim Hinckley, Head of The Geneva School of Manhattan, who will be advising us as we begin this journey.
